April Favourites

I can't believe it's already May! Where has this year gone?
I hope you all had a great month; I've been quite busy with work this month, and have another two more weeks where I'll be struggling to post :(
At my work I don't wear much makeup at all - I work at a swimming pool!
So my favourites this month are some of the products I have been wearing daily...

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in the shade 005 'Silky Beige'
This is a cult product in the beauty blogging world. Since picking it up I have used it every day. It doesn't have much colour to it - so I wouldn't recommend it if you like your powder to give you great coverage. It is a great powder that does what it says and keeps me matte all day.

Skin 79 Hot Pink Super Plus Beblesh Balm
I absolutely love this! It's great for a tiny hint of colour, it comes out greyish and just blends into your skin flawlessly. It looks like you have nothing on at all, but helps to even out my skin. It also claims to be a 10 in 1 solution, including whitening and it also has SPF, so it is great for your skin. I use it instead of foundation for work, or for days where I don't want to wear foundation.

NYX Blush in 03 'Angel'
This is a cool matte baby pink coloured powder blush. It is a great everyday blush for me when I only want a hint of colour, so I have been reaching for it daily this month.

NYX Matte Black Liner
This liner is so extremely black and pigmented, I love it! It's retractable, so no need for sharpening which I love. I use this in my waterline and tightline and it's great for smudging into my lashes.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer in 010 'Ivory'
This is a highlighting concealer that I use under my eyes. It's great on its own for a subtle look or if i want a more flawless look I'll put it over a concealer that hides my dark circles a little better. This is something I use on a daily basis and will be repurchasing.

Perfume of the Month: Paco Rabanne Black XS for Her

This is such a sexy scent! It is quite manly, with a floral yet spicy/woody scent. I've been wearing this for years now and have gone through quite a few bottles. It lasts all day and is a great night time perfume.

Food of the Month: Lemon Coconut Slice

I made this last week as I was procrastinating instead of doing an essay for University, and it is so yummy! I made double mixture and it is already all gone! I'll definitely make it again, everyone in my family loved it. If you have a sweet tooth you will love this.
You can find the recipe here.

Song of the Month: The Script - If You Could See Me Now
I went to see the script on the 6th of April at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and they were absolutely AMAZING. This song is about the Danny's father who passed away I believe, and he sings it with such heart...

ANZAC Day 2013

ANZAC Day has a special meaning to me as my Grandfather was in the New Zealand Navy and is currently the Vice Chairman of the Currumbin RSL on the Gold Coast.
The Currumbin RSL ANZAC Day Service is the service that is televised live on Sunrise on Chanel 7, and he plays an important role in both organising and running the event.

They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
Well will remember them.

Lest We Forget

Mini Priceline Haul

Hey everyone :)
Those of you in Australia might know that on the 23rd and 24th of April Priceline had a huge 40% off all cosmetics!
I couldn't resist stopping by before my uni exam on Tuesday - and of course I picked up a couple of things, so I thought I'd show you what I got.

Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Concealer - 10 Natural Beige

As you may know I have quite annoying dark under eye circles and am still on the hunt for my HG concealer so I thought I'd give this one a go. It promises 16 hour wear and I picked it up in the lightest shade, 10 Natural Beige.

Kate Moss Lasting Finish Matte Lipstick - 103

I already have one of the Kate Moss matte lipsticks in the shade 107 and a Lasting Finish formula in the shade 16 and love them, so I picked up this shade which I've had my eye on. It's a warm toned, medium pink and the formula is extremely creamy and opaque.

Face of Australia Lip Quench Moisturising Lipstick - Lychee Crush & Pink Champagne

I haven't tried this formula of lipstick before but have heard great things about them. I've been looking at these two particular colours for a while now and decided to finally pick them up.
Lychee Crush is a peachy nude shade which I saw on Lauren Beautyy's YouTube, and Pink Champagne is more of a pastel pink shade.

Maybelline Baby Lips - Anti-Oxidant Berry

Finally, I picked up a back up of my favourite Baby Lips. This is my favourite chapstick and I always have one on hand! It smells so delicious which makes it even better! :)

Have you tried any of these products? I get so excited to try out new beauty products :)
I love you all, have a great day!

Life Update & Rabmles

Hello lovelies,

I thought I need to apologise for my lack of posts recently. I really want to post more regularly and build my blog to make it more successful, it is really important to me and I absolutely love reading your nice comments and finding others who have similar interests to me.

So I've been swamped with uni and work recently - and not to help I was ill with a cold for a couple of weeks. Once that finally went away my eye decided it was the perfect time to get an ulcer! So I was struggling without wearing my contacts (I don't have a pair of glasses) and couldn't do much!

I finally purchased the beloved Chanel Tan de Soleil bronzer - and after trying two different Chanel counters, I was lucky enough to get my hands on the last one as It has been discontinued!

Since it's into autumn in Melbourne and the weather isn't too kind, I needed to go down a shade in my favourite foundation - the Too Faced Amazing Face Liquid Foundation. When I went to get colour matched I was informed that that too has been discontinued! So I'm now on the hunt for a new HG foundation. Any recommendations?

Last Friday I went to the Supre factory outlet in Broadmeadows for the first time. It is absolutely huge and they had such good bargains! I was thinking of doing a haul of the clothing items I picked up - so keep an eye out for that if you are interested in hauls.

On Sunday I spent the day at an indoor sports centre organised through my work which was a lot of fun and made me realise I really need to get back into an exercise routine.

I also took my younger cousin shopping for her birthday on Monday at Highpoint Shopping Centre. Since the new section has opened I've been quite a few times and I absolutely love it!

Has anyone been watching the TV series 'The Following'? Episode 4 of season 1 airs tonight and I can't wait! I love it and am already addicted. It's a drama centred around a serial killer who has been jailed that has surrounded himself with a cult devoted to him. If you haven't seen it and you like those type of shows definitely check it out!

Finally, I'd just like to say my thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected by the Boston Marathon bombings. I couldn't imagine going through what those innocent people have been put through, and I hope the sick individuals who were involved are bought to justice.

Liebster Award 8 & 9

Hello!
I have recently been nominated for the Liebster Award two more times!
I'd love to thank Athena from Modestly Sophisticated and The Beauty 101 for nominating me! Be sure to check out their blogs :)

Since I have already completed the other sections of the award, I'll only be answering the questions here. You can find my original post here if you'd like to read my answers to the other sections :)

Modestly Sophisticated's Questions:
1. Favorite perfume?
It changes all the time – but my favourite of all time is Paco Rababne Black XS, Paco Rabanne Lady Million or Roberto Cavalli EDP

2. Most used item this month?
My most used item would be my skindinavia makeup setting spray – it’s one beauty product I’ve used every day!

3. What new products have you tried lately that you'll repurchase and that you won't be repurchasing?
I recently purchased the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and I will repurchase that
I won’t be repurchasing the Neutrogenia ‘night calming’ make up removing cleansing wipes – I prefer the original version in the blue pack

3. Biggest pet peeve?
When people tap or continuously make an annoying noise!

4. Top 3 favorite pairs of shoes you own?
I don’t particularly have 3 favorite pairs of shoes

5. Favorite hobby or past time?
I loved spending summer at home on the Gold Coast with my family doing touristy activities.

6. Which celebrity would you love to meet if you could?
Ellen DeGeneres – I think she is the most amazing lady and such an inspiration

10. Do you plan on getting married? If so, where would be the ideal marriage destination for you? If already married, where would you love to live with your family if you could move anywhere you wanted?
I don’t necessarily plan on it. My parents aren’t married – I believe you don’t need to be married to prove your love

11. What's your favorite thing about blogging?
Getting lovely comments from other bloggers! And knowing there’s other people interested in the things I’m interested in

The Beauty 101's Questions:
1. What's the most you have ever spent on make-up in one go?
I don’t really know – but probably between $100-$200

2. What is your dream job?
I’m yet to find my dream job!

3. If you could meet any celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be?
Ellen DeGeneres – I think she is the most amazing lady and such an inspiration

4. What is your earliest memory?
Being on my sister’s back and she tried to take me as far as I could go under water holding my breath. She said she would come up when I tap her shoulder but didn’t and I felt like I was going to drown! Haha

5. Favorite nail colour?
I’m not too fussed. I love neutrals & pastels lately

6. What is your favorite film of all time?
I love so many! Recent favorites are ‘Taken’ and ‘Taken 2’

7. If you had one hundred pounds to spend on make-up, and you could only spend it on one brand, which brand would that be?
Probably Too-Faced, I’m almost out of my foundation so I’d replace that, and I seem to love a lot of their products.

8. What is your biggest fear?
Not being successful in life.

9. Have you ever thought about stopping blogging?
No!

10. Blonde or Brunette?
Brunette

11. Do you believe in love at first sight?
I haven’t experienced it but who am I to say it doesn’t exist

I hope you are all having a nice day :)

Wishlist Wednesday: March + Stalkthis.com!

Happy Wednesday!

I've got my eye on a couple of items this month... At the same time I'm trying to save as much as I can for a holiday and hopefully a boob job (fingers crossed)!

Urban Decay Naked Palette - $52 from BeautyBay

Rimmel Apocalips in '101 - Celestial'

Sigma Mr. Bunny Collection - $120.00 from Sigma Beauty

Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque 250ml - $27 from BeautyBay

Macadamia Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment 125ml- $31 from BeautyBay

Stila All Over Shimmer Duo in Kitten $32 from Mecca Cosmetica

Stalkthis.com
Have any of you head of Stalkthis? It's this awesome website which I heard through watching Chloe Morello's March Favourites YouTube video and had to check out for myself.

What Stalklist says:
"Stalkthis is a unique shopping tool that saves you time and money, and helps organize your online shopping. Found something you want to buy? Simply save the item in your handy, personalized shopping list on Stalkthis. Stalkthis will automatically keep an eye on it – and all your favorite products – then alert you when the price drops. No more wrangling bookmarks or forgetting where you saw an item. You can buy what you want at the price you want, quickly and easily."

So basically you create lists and add items you have your eye on, and then Stalklist lets you know once the price drops or it goes on sale! You can create separate lists and also follow other members' lists which is great and keeps things organised :)
Leave me your stalklist link below if you have an account and I'll check yours out (make sure you have your lists on public), or feel free to take a look at my stalklist here.

March Favourites

Good afternoon, I hope you are having a lovely day.
I'm so sorry about the lack of posts lately - I've been drowning in uni and work!
Anyway, here are some things that I have been loving throughout the month of March.

Mac Soft and Gentle
By far my favourite highlighter that I have tried. This is a gorgeous champagne frost that gives the most perfect highlight and glow to the skin, making you look flawless! I'm not going to go into too much detail as this highlighter is a cult product in the blogger world so I'm sure you have heard a lot about it.

BeautyBlender
One of my favourite ever beauty purchases! This sponge applies foundation so beautifully leaving such a natural finish to the skin. I just wet it before I use it and it is so quick and easy! Love it!

Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
This has been my go to mascara ever since I received my order from CherryCulture. It gives such full, long looking lashes.
You can find my full review of this mascara here.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in the shade '668 Primrose'
This has been my go to lip colour this month. It's such a pretty cool toned nude pink with slight blue undertones. I love Revlon lipsticks as they are so moisturising and don't tend to dry out my lips, and this is no exception!
You can see me wearing this shade in a previous FOTD here.

Perfume of the Month: David Beckham Signature for Her
A sexy and sophisticated fresh, fruity, floral scent. It's strong without being overpowering, and lasts all day on me. Smell it if you get the chance... And the best part - it's so affordable!

Food of the Month: Hot cross buns!
With march being the month of easter how could you not be loving hot cross buns! I've been eating them for breakfast and lunch lately toasted with a tiny bit if margarine :) yummy!

Song of the Month: Heart Attack by Demi Lovato

L'oreal Paris Powder Room Goodie Bag

Good morning :)
As some of my Australian readers may be aware, last week was the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
On Friday night I visited the L'oreal Paris Powder Room at Docklands in Melbourne - as it is currently L'Oreal Fashion Week.

The Powder Room is free to attend, and you get a choice of either getting your nails or lips done; I went for the nails.
As well as this, everyone who enters the powder room leaves with a free goodie bag - could it get any better!?
I thought I'd share with you all what was included in my bag.

A sample of L'Oreal Elvive Volume Collagen Texturizing Shampoo
L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray
L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System Moisure Shampoo
L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System Moisure Conditioner
L'Oreal Hair Expertise EverPure Sulfate-Free Color Care System Moisure Leave-In Conditioner
L'Oreal Color Infallible Eyeshadow in the shade 012 'Endless Chocolat'
L'Oreal Color Riche Nailpolish in the shade 216 'Milk Shake in LA'
A sample of L'Oreal Base Magique Transforming Smoothing Primer

I thought this was such a great goodie bag and the whole experience inside the L'Oreal Paris Powder Room was great. Considering all of this was free, including getting my nails painted, you couldn't go wrong.
I'm quite excited to try out the eyeshadow and the primer!
The employees in the Powder Room were all so lovely and talkative and I look forward to visiting again next year.

I hope you all had a brilliant weekend.

Please check out and enter my giveaway, it closes this Thursday!
